CHONGQING, China, Sept. 18, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications (CQUPT), one of the key post and telecommunications universities established by the government, is a teaching and research university jointly built by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China and the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, a first-class discipline construction university in Chongqing.
CQUPT is located in Chongqing, the economic and industrial center of southwest China and the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, covering 253 hectares of land with a beautiful environment and complete facilities. Scientific Research
CQUPT adheres to independent innovation, and is a national advanced collective in information industry science and technology innovation and a national high-tech industrialization demonstration project base, and is known as the "birthplace of digital communication in China". The university has successfully developed the first set of 24-way, 30/32-way pulse coder and 120-way multiplexer and their supporting instruments in accordance with ITU standards, participated in the formulation of the third-generation mobile communication standards and designed the world’s first TD-SCDMA baseband chip, etc. In recent years, the university has undertaken more than 510 national projects, and more than 3,100 authorized invention patents.
