SolidVue Raises KRW 16.3 Billion Series C

sungho-choo - 2026 October 6

SolidVue, a South Korean fabless semiconductor company developing LiDAR sensors, has secured KRW 16.3 billion in Series C funding.

The round was completed with participation from institutional investors, although the full investor lineup and individual commitments have not been publicly disclosed. Public startup-investment data identifies the round as Series C and records the transaction as having closed in early October 2026.

SolidVue had previously raised funding from venture capital and corporate investors across seed, Series A, and Series B rounds. Earlier backers included Quantum Ventures Korea and other undisclosed financial and strategic investors. The Series C round marks the company’s next financing step as it moves from technology development toward larger-scale production and global customer expansion.

Founded in November 2020 and based in Busan, South Korea, SolidVue develops CMOS-based LiDAR sensor integrated circuits for autonomous vehicles, robotics, and augmented- and virtual-reality applications. Its technology is designed to provide accurate three-dimensional detection of objects and surrounding spaces through solid-state sensing, without relying on the mechanically rotating components used in traditional LiDAR systems.

SolidVue’s research team was among the first in Korea to develop a time-of-flight (ToF) image sensor and a CMOS LiDAR sensor. The company is also developing 2D MEMS mirror technology and related LiDAR components for autonomous mobility and robotic platforms. Its sensor ICs are intended to help machines perceive distance, shape, and position in real time, forming a core hardware layer for autonomous driving, mobile robots, and other spatial-computing applications.

SolidVue plans to use the new capital to establish mass-production capabilities and expand its global customer base. The company is also preparing for a future initial public offering as it develops commercial relationships with customers in the automotive, robotics, and mobility sectors.
