Daejeon Startup Park, a new innovation cluster designed to support startups, has officially opened. Established by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in collaboration with the city of Daejeon, it is the second startup park in South Korea following the launch of Incheon Startup Park.
The park comprises 10 buildings, including nine surrounding structures centered around the main anchor building, Startup Park, and offers more than 100 tenant spaces. Additionally, Shinhan Financial Group is constructing and managing the S-Bridge, which consists of three buildings, while Hana Bank is developing the H-Bridge, also comprising three buildings. The H-Bridge is set to open within the first half of this year. The involvement of private enterprises in establishing these facilities marks a significant step toward fostering a privately-led startup ecosystem.

Daejeon Startup Park aims to nurture science and technology-driven startups with a strong local focus. To facilitate business growth and encourage long-term settlement in Daejeon, the park will provide housing support for employees of resident startups and offer rental assistance to companies that have graduated from the startup program and choose to remain in the city.
