Twinny, a South Korean autonomous mobile robot company, has closed a Pre-IPO funding round of KRW 14.4 billion, accelerating its preparations for a KOSDAQ listing and global market expansion.
The round drew participation from Ato Investment, Ato Management, and DS Asset Management, along with two undisclosed professional investors contributing roughly KRW 1 billion each. Company officials said the round was well received despite a broadly subdued investment environment, reflecting confidence in Twinny’s proprietary technology and its track record of real-world commercialization. The round follows Twinny’s KRW 20.4 billion Series C round in March 2026, which had brought its cumulative funding to KRW 59 billion; with this Pre-IPO round, that figure has climbed further, and the company counts 20 investors in total across its funding history.

Ahead of this round, Twinny completed a technical assessment (gisulseong pyeongga) required for a technology-track IPO listing, formally validating the competitiveness of its autonomous navigation technology as part of its path toward going public.
Founded by co-CEOs Chun Hong-seok and Chun Young-seok, Twinny is a Korean company that develops autonomous mobile robots for logistics and industrial-site applications, marketed under its “Nargo” product line. The company has built its business on real-world deployment of its robots in Korean industrial and logistics environments, moving the broader autonomous-robotics sector’s focus from pure technology development toward field-proven commercialization.
Twinny said it will use the newly raised capital to expand into overseas markets, broaden its business more generally, and fund preparations for its planned KOSDAQ listing. The company intends to build on the operational experience and technical validation it has accumulated in the domestic market to pursue new business opportunities with overseas customers and establish a track record in global markets.
Co-CEO Chun Young-seok said the Pre-IPO round “carries significant meaning in that it recognizes Twinny’s distinctive technology and growth potential despite a difficult market environment,” adding that the company will “build on the technology and operational know-how validated in the domestic market to strengthen business stability while accelerating both a successful listing and full-scale overseas expansion.”
