Korea Blockchain Week (KBW) 2025, one of Asia’s premier blockchain and Web3 festivals, concluded on September 28 after a week of events that underscored its significant growth and global influence. Held from September 22 to 28, the event brought together innovators, investors, and developers from around the world to explore the latest trends in decentralized technology.

A notable aspect of the 2025 event was the significant U.S. influence. Donald Trump Jr., son of the U.S. President, and his brother Eric Trump made a virtual appearance to discuss their cryptocurrency mining venture, American Bitcoin Corp.
Additionally, Patrick Witt, a crypto advisor to the White House, offered insights into Washington’s policies on digital assets, aiming to connect U.S. policy-making with Seoul’s technology scene.

The main conference, IMPACT, took place from September 23–24 at the Walkerhill Hotels &Resorts. It featured over 130 sessions with more than 300 speakers across four distinct stages: Sui Stage, Stable Stage, ZeroG (0G) Stage, and the Woori Bank Institutional Stage. Key topics included blockchain technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Decentralized Finance (DeFi), and Real-World Asset (RWA) tokenization.
This year’s event saw record-breaking participation, with a cumulative total of 28,000 attendees, a 76% increase compared to the previous year. The international draw of the event was substantial, with foreigners making up 35% of the participants. The expansion was also reflected in the scale of the exhibition, which grew by approximately 83% to feature over 110 booths.

More than 5,200 companies from across the globe participated in the week’s activities. The event extended beyond the main conference, transforming Seoul into a vibrant festival hub. Over 450 side events, networking sessions, and afterparties were held across the city in districts like Gangnam and Cheongdam, creating a celebratory atmosphere for the global Web3 community.
