Brite Energy Partners (BEP) has secured a $78 million investment from funds managed by BlackRock’s Climate Infrastructure division. This marks BlackRock’s fourth investment in BEP, with the initial investment made in August 2021. BEP is an independent power producer (IPP) specializing in the development, acquisition, ownership, and long-term operation of solar power plants.
The investment will enable BEP to expand its solar portfolio to over 1 GW, enhance its electric vehicle fast-charging infrastructure, and acquire battery energy storage systems (BESS).
