The Demo Day was attended by over 50 organizations, including Thailand’s largest telecommunications company AIS, the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA), government agencies, venture capital firms, and tourism and tech enterprises. Through IR pitching by Korean tourism companies and 1:1 business matchmaking, intensive discussions on investment and collaboration were held. Notably, the Korea Tourism Organization signed a business agreement with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to strengthen cooperation between Korean and Thai tourism startups, aiming to foster and validate (PoC) tourism companies as well as promote startup exchanges between the two countries moving forward.

The Bangkok Tourism Startup Center serves as an overseas base supporting the successful global expansion of promising Korean tourism companies. It is the third such center, following Singapore (August 2022) and Tokyo (December 2023), and aids in local settlement (market research, setting up corporations, hiring local staff, providing office space), attracting overseas business and investment (matching tourism businesses with local investors), and open innovation needs in the tourism sector including connections and validation (PoC).
