Beeble AI raises $4.75M to Democratize Filmmaking with AI

sungho-choo - 2024 July 11

Beeble AI, a virtual lighting solutions startup founded by former Krafton AI researchers, has secured $4.75 million in seed funding led by Basis Set Ventures with participation from Fika Ventures to make Hollywood-level visual effects accessible to independent filmmakers.
Beeble AI’s core product, SwitchLight Studio (to be rebranded as Virtual Studio), is a desktop application that allows filmmakers to adjust lighting and composition within virtual environments. This technology aims to replace expensive green screens and LED walls traditionally used in virtual productions. Unlike traditional virtual production companies, Beeble AI’s platform virtualizes real actors within the virtual environment, allowing users to create cinematic shots with just a phone camera. Beeble AI plans to leverage the new funding to advance its core AI model, further develop its virtual production platform, and expand its team. This technology has the potential to revolutionize filmmaking by democratizing access to high-end visual effects.

The company has previously secured early-stage funding from Mashup Ventures and Kakao Ventures.
