OpenAI Selects 10 K-Startups for Collaboration

sungho-choo - 2024 March 18

Sam Altman, OpenAI CEO, holds a Q&A session with Korean startups.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups hosted the ‘K-Startup-OpenAI Matching Day’ event at OpenAI’s headquarters in Silicon Valley. The event featured pitch presentations from 14 finalist startups selected by OpenAI in last December, and 10 startups were ultimately chosen to collaborate with OpenAI. This marks the first time OpenAI has collaborated with a country on such a program, and there is potential for regular collaboration in the future.

The selected 10 companies will receive KRW 200 million in commercialization funding from the government, as well as service fee support and mentorship from OpenAI.
