Smart Food Networks has secured a KRW 15 billion Series C round to speed the digital transformation of Korea’s foodservice industry, emphasizing scaled operations and product development across its restaurant-tech stack.
The company noted that the round included follow-on commitments from existing backers alongside new strategic investors, while specific names for this tranche were not disclosed.
SFN runs two primary services: OesikUP, a brand-tailored food distribution service used by more than 80 franchise headquarters with 24 additional brands added this year, and Chabyulhwa Sanghoe, a food ingredients platform for independent restaurant operators launched in June 2023 that has fostered repeat purchasing through nationwide D-1 delivery, optimal temperature placement, and curated product suggestions by industry segment. The company is also preparing to debut OesikUP HQ, an integrated headquarters solution that consolidates ordering, sales, settlement, reviews, and franchisee communications, with automation built to support small and mid-sized franchise systems that often face hurdles adopting ERP-level tools.
Funds from the Series C will go toward enhancing logistics infrastructure and reinforcing data-driven services across SFN’s platform, enabling end-to-end digitization for both franchise headquarters and independent operators while improving operational efficiency and profitability at the store level.
