South Korean humanoid robotics startup Holiday Robotics has secured KRW 155 billion in Series A funding, a round reported as one of the largest Series A financings in Korea’s startup history and the biggest for a domestic humanoid robotics company.
The company plans to use the capital to accelerate mass production and commercialization of its humanoid robots, focusing on factory and manufacturing applications with its flagship model ‘Friday’ at the center of its strategy.
The funding round drew participation from leading financial institutions and venture capital firms, including Korea Development Bank, Industrial Bank of Korea, IMM Investment, Stonebridge Ventures, Atinum Investment, KB Investment, InterVest, and Premier Partners, among others.
Earlier coverage indicated the company was already approaching unicorn status on the back of large-scale infrastructure investments and a valuation in the hundreds of billions of won, with this KRW 155 billion raise reinforcing investor confidence in Korea’s emerging humanoid robotics ecosystem.
