The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) held the launch ceremony for the 2025 Jump-Up Program on April 23 at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul, marking the official start of an ambitious initiative to nurture promising small and medium enterprises (SMEs) into global mid-sized companies.
The Jump-Up Program will select 100 high-potential SMEs and provide them with comprehensive support for three years to help them expand into new businesses and markets. The program is open to SMEs with at least seven years in business and a strong drive for new ventures and market entry. Selected companies will benefit from a range of support measures, including consulting, open vouchers, networking, and policy linkage, over a three-year period.
A highlight of the event was the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between eight key public policy institutions—including the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME), Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA), and Korea Development Bank—and six private sector partners such as Samjong KPMG and Boston Consulting Group. These organizations pledged to collaborate for the successful growth and scale-up of the selected SMEs. The ministry also unveiled the program’s brand identity (BI), visually representing the spirit of bold challenge and innovation that the program seeks to foster among participating companies.
