Korean legaltech startup Law&Company has completed a KRW 50 billion Series C-2 funding round, marking the largest single investment recorded within the nation’s legaltech industry.
The financing round drew capital from a mix of new and existing investors. IMM Investment, Daesung Venture Capital, Shinhan Venture Investment, and Korea Development Bank joined as new participants. Existing stakeholders SmileGate Investment and Premier Partners made follow-on investments. Notably, SoftBank Ventures Asia acquired over KRW10 billion in existing shares, becoming a new investor in the company.

Law&Company operates three key platforms that collectively serve approximately 25,000 registered lawyers, representing 69% of all licensed attorneys in South Korea. Their primary service, LawTalk, recorded 300,000 legal consultations in 2024. The company’s SuperLawyer AI service recently achieved a score of 123 correct answers out of 160 questions on the Korean Bar Examination, exceeding the passing threshold and placing within the top 5% of successful candidates.
The company reported its first quarterly profit in the first quarter of 2025 and is targeting full-year profitability for 2025. Proceeds from the funding round are earmarked for accelerating international expansion, advancing legal artificial intelligence technology development, and amassing overseas legal data in preparation for global market entry. The investment underscores growing investor confidence in the scalability and profitability of AI-driven legal services.
