Korean AI cooking robotics startup Beyond Honeycomb has raised KRW 10 billion in a Series A bridge round, bringing its total funding to KRW 19.6 billion. The round was led by existing backer LB Investment, with new and follow-up participation from KDB Industrial Bank, BNK Venture Investment, Devsisters Ventures, and the Korea Technology Finance Corporation.
The company’s flagship product, the AI-powered cooking robot GRILL X, is designed to automate the grilling process for meats such as pork, beef, and fish. By analyzing the condition of the meat in real time and adjusting heat and timing autonomously, the robot ensures consistent taste and texture—eliminating the need for human chefs. GRILL X is already being adopted across diverse settings, including small restaurants, franchise chains, and high-end hotels.
With the new funding, Beyond Honeycomb plans to scale mass production and quality control systems for GRILL X and accelerate its global market strategy. The company aims to build out distribution networks and establish local test beds, with a particular focus on launching in North America.
