Food Tech Startup Medisolar Secures KRW 13B in Series A Funding

sungho-choo - 2025 April 7

Medisola, a Seoul-based food tech startup specializing in personalized food care solutions, has raised KRW 13 billion in Series A funding. The round was co-led by Premier Partners, Samsung Venture Investment, and Red Badge Pacific.

Founded in 2021 by a team of former S Food executives and venture capital professionals, Medisola offers AI-driven nutritional solutions that bridge food and healthcare. The company operates two main verticals: Care Food, aimed at maintaining wellness through tailored meals, and MediFood, which targets those with existing health concerns by offering condition-specific nutritional support.

At the core of its offering is ArchenX, Medisola’s proprietary AI healthcare platform that goes beyond meal provision to deliver personalized diet design, functional ingredient discovery, and digital dietary prescriptions. The company has been validating its approach through more than six years of joint clinical studies with Severance Hospital, strengthening its credibility in both technology and clinical outcomes.

With fresh capital in hand, Medisola plans to accelerate R&D in AI-based meal planning, expand its disease-targeted functional food offerings, and scale its data-driven food care platform. The startup also aims to ramp up its presence in both B2B and B2C markets, positioning itself as a key player in the emerging digital healthcare and nutrition space.
