Solivis Raises KRW 23 Billion Series C

sungho-choo - 2026 August 20

Solivis, a South Korean solid electrolyte specialist, has closed a Series C round of KRW 23 billion (approximately $17 million), bringing its cumulative capital raised since founding to KRW 65.2 billion.

The round drew participation from Openwater Investment and Seulgi Asset Management, among others. Alongside the funding, Solivis was also selected for two of the Korean Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ 2026 deep-tech scale-up programs: “Chogyeokcha Global Deeps,” which supports outstanding deep-tech startups’ overseas expansion and technology commercialization, and “Unicorn Bridge,” a program backing promising deep-tech companies with growth capital and guarantees.

Founded in 2020, Solivis is a Korean company that develops and manufactures sulfide-based solid electrolytes, a core material for all-solid-state batteries — next-generation battery technology viewed as a key upgrade path beyond current lithium-ion cells due to its improved safety and energy density. The company holds roughly 150 patents and has developed a proprietary “third-generation wet synthesis mass-production platform,” which it uses to operate a production facility in Hoengseong, Gangwon Province, with annual capacity of 36 tons.

Solivis said it will use the new capital, together with infrastructure support secured through the government scale-up programs, to expand its sulfide-based solid electrolyte production capacity. Specifically, the company plans to raise the level of process automation at its mass-production facility and diversify its proprietary high-performance material lineup, with the goal of accelerating business partnerships with global battery manufacturers and automakers.
