In the German city of Bremen, K-Space Night brought together Korean space-tech startups and Europe’s aerospace community for a night of ideas and introductions. Hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) and the Korea Aerospace Administration (KASA), the gathering filled the Courtyard by Marriott Bremen with researchers, entrepreneurs and investors ahead of Space Tech Expo Europe 2025.
K-Space Night was organized to support Korean small and mid-sized space-tech companies taking part in Space Tech Expo Europe 2025, the continent’s largest B2B exhibition dedicated to the space industry.
Held annually in Bremen since 2015, Space Tech Expo Europe serves as a major meeting point for stakeholders across the global space ecosystem – from launch services and satellite operations to communications systems, ground infrastructure, materials and components. This year’s edition will feature the European Space Agency (ESA), the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and leading global defense and aerospace companies, who will share insights on emerging technology trends. Around 950 exhibiting companies and more than 10,000 visitors from around the world are expected to attend. Fourteen Korean firms will join the exhibition, presenting Korea’s latest technological capabilities to European audiences.
In preparation for the expo, MSS and KASA offered participating companies support in exhibition marketing and investor relations training to help them secure practical outcomes. During the week of the exhibition, K-Space Night served as a dedicated platform for business exchanges by offering a series of pitching sessions and curated meetings with European partners.
Throughout the evening, 14 Korean space-tech startups delivered IR pitches and held discussions with local aerospace organizations, research institutes and investors. Berlin Partner and the global engineering software company Ansys also took part, offering presentations on sector trends. With more than 130 participants – including institutions, investors and media representatives interested in Korea’s expanding space sector – the event concluded on a strong note.
Officials from MSS and KASA said the event marks an early step in strengthening support for Korea’s space-tech startups as they move into global markets. They noted that small and mid-sized firms are emerging as key players in the New Space era, and that both organizations will continue working together to build cooperation frameworks that help companies operate with greater confidence at home and abroad.
