Google Startup Campus Seoul Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Google Startup Campus Seoul marked its 10th anniversary on June 17, 2025, celebrating a decade of fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in South Korea’s startup ecosystem. 

The milestone event, held at the Campus in Samseong-dong, Seoul, featured the Startup AI Festival, bringing together startup founders, industry leaders, and government officials to reflect on achievements and discuss future opportunities in the AI era.

Over the past ten years, startups supported by Google Startup Campus Seoul have attracted more than KRW 1.4 trillion in cumulative investment and created over 5,000 jobs. The Campus has built a vibrant community of around 50,000 members, supporting over 200 startups through networking, mentoring, and educational programs. In addition, more than 2,400 programs and events have been held at the Campus, making it a key platform for startup growth and global expansion in Korea.

The event was attended by key figures such as Karen Fiester, Global Director of Google Startup Campus, Mike Kim, Head of Google Startups Asia-Pacific, Joy Sakurai, Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul, Lim Jung-wook, Director of Startup Venture Innovation at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and Kim Kyung-hoon, President of Google Korea.

Notable alumni, including Lee Bok-ki (CEO of Wanted Lab) and Woo Chan-min (COO of Liner AI), shared their experiences and emphasized the importance of focusing on customer problems and building trust through AI-driven solutions.

Following the Seoul event, Google announced that the AI festival would tour major cities across South Korea, including Busan and Gyeongju, from July to September 2025, aiming to spread AI technology and startup know-how nationwide.
