The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced the opening of the 2024 Super Gap Startup 1000+ Project. This ambitious initiative is designed to provide crucial R&D support to promising startups equipped with distinctive technologies within 10 new industries.
This year, a total of 380 startups with less than 10 years of establishment will be selected, and the initiative will be operated through two tracks: the Deeptech Incubator Project for Startup and the Tech Incubator Program for Startup.
- The Deeptech Incubator Project for Startup=217 selected startups will receive KRW 1.1 billion in direct support, including up to KRW 600 million in commercialisation funds and KRW 500 million in R&D funds depending on corporate demand over the next 3 years.
- Tech Incubator Program for Startup=150 deep-tech startups that received over KRW 300 million from TIPS operators will receive amaximum support of KRW 1.7 billion, including KRW 1.5 billion in R&D funds over the next 3 years.
